The Proven X is a Riyadh-based answers community and digital studio. This page explains what we collect when you use theprovenx.com, why we keep it, and how you can ask us about it.
Who is responsible
The Proven X (TheProvenX) is the controller of personal data collected through this website. If you have a question about this policy, use the contact form or email the address on that page.
What we collect
We only ask for what the feature needs. Depending on how you use the site, that can include:
- Account details: display name, username, email, password (stored as a hash), optional profile text and photo.
- Community posts: questions, answers, comments, votes, and any screenshots you attach.
- Bookings: name, phone, email, notes, chosen time, and Zoom meeting links if a meeting is created.
- Contact and sponsor messages: name, email, phone if you give one, subject, and the message itself.
- Technical data: session cookies, approximate IP for security and rate limits, and browser language.
Why we use it
We use this information to run the community, keep you signed in, send the emails you asked for, book appointments, reply to messages, prevent abuse, and improve the site. We do not sell personal data.
Emails, bookings, and Zoom
If you book a time or write to us, we email you a confirmation and we email the platform owner so they can reply. Those messages may include the details you typed and, for bookings, a Zoom join or start link.
Zoom meetings are created on the host’s Zoom account when that service is configured. Zoom then processes the meeting under its own terms.
Cookies and sign-in
We use a first-party session cookie so you stay signed in, and a language cookie so the site remembers Arabic or English. These are needed for the site to work. We do not use advertising cookies.
Services that help us run the site
We use trusted processors to host and send. They only get what they need to do that job:
- Hosting and file storage (including Vercel and object storage for images and booking records).
- Email delivery (SendGrid or SMTP) for confirmations, resets, and owner alerts.
- Google reCAPTCHA on the contact form, to reduce automated spam. Google receives the captcha token and standard security signals.
- Zoom, when a booked meeting is created.
How long we keep it
Accounts and community posts stay until you delete them or we close the account. Booking and contact records stay so we can serve the request and keep a short operational history. Session cookies expire when you sign out or the session ends. We may keep a minimal record if the law requires it.
Your choices
You can update your profile and notification settings while signed in. You can ask us to correct or delete personal data we hold, or to send you a copy, by writing through the contact form. We will handle the request under Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law and any other law that applies.
You can refuse optional cookies in your browser. If you block the session cookie, sign-in and some account features will not work.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child sent us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date on this page. Continued use of the site after that date means you have read the new version.
